These headstalls are Amish made and handcrafted from top-quality skirting leather. With a 3/4" wide brow band and cheek straps that are double-ply and double-stitched for strength and durability. The throat latch strap is single-ply and 1/2" in width. All of the edges are finished and painted for a professional look and tough coated for added protection. The hardware in these headstalls is made of chrome over brass which adds looks and durability. Solid brass hardware can be used instead of the chrome over brass hardware. These headstalls have a Conway Buckle for attaching the bit to the headstall and a Chicago Screw is used to fasten the brow band around the cheek and throat latch straps. They have an adjustment on both sides of the cheek straps so you can adjust the bit to get the correct fit. If wanted a Rosette or a Leather Lace Tie could be used instead of the Chicago Screw and a Water Loop with a Leather Lace Tie could be used in place of the Conway Buckle. These headstalls can be either tooled on the brow band and the cheek straps or they can be left plain with no tooling added. All of the leather, in these headstalls, is hand cut a piece at a time and the tooling is done completely by hand. These headstalls DO NOT include a bit or curb/chin strap. The bit and curb/chin strap must be purchased separately. Matching single-ply split reins are included with these headstalls. The reins are 5/8" wide and 7' long with a Conway Buckle and the edges are painted and finished. If you prefer you can get a Water Loop with A Leather Lace Tie in place of the Conway Buckle on the reins. $66.00

Curb/Chin Strap
This optional
curb/chin strap is made to go with your leather headstall. It is made of 1/2"
top-quality skirting
leather with painted and finished edges and is top coated
for add protection. It has a rolled center for comfort for your animal. The
hardware is chrome plated over brass. This curb strap has an adjustment on both
ends, so you are sure to get the right fit. The strap adjusts from Small 6" to
8" or Large 8" to 10". $14.50
Amish Crafted
Biothane and Beta Pony Headstalls with Reins
Handcrafted by local Amish men these headstalls are sure to fit your pony. These headstalls have a 3/4" brow band, 3/4" cheek straps and a 1/2" throat latch strap and come in either Beta, a dull finished Biothane or a shiny finished Biothane. The standard hardware, in these headstalls, is chrome plated over brass but you can get stainless hardware instead. The brow band is attached around the cheek strap and the throat latch strap with a Chicago Screw. The cheek straps have an adjustment on both sides so you can get the proper fit with the bit. A Conway Buckle is used to fasten the cheek straps to the bit. The bit and curb/chin strap DO NOT come with this headstall, they must be purchased separately. The reins are made of Beta and are 3/4" wide and 7' long with a Conway Buckle, that is chrome plated over brass, to attach them to the bit. The reins are a split type reins and are included with the headstall. $55.99
Biothane is a durable strap good created by coating a nylon strap of many widths with urethane. It won't absorb sweat and is easy to clean by just hosing it off. It keeps its flexibility even in subzero temperatures. Beta Biothane has a leather look and feel. Very easy to clean also and a bit more flexible than regular biothane. Since it has a softer coating it isn't as scratch and wear resistant as regular biothane.Biothane & Beta Headstall Curb/Chin Strap
These curb straps come in either Beta, Biothane Shiny or Biothane Dull. All of these curb straps are Amish made to the highest standards of quality. These curbs come in two sizes, small and large. The small size is 1/2" wide and adjusts from 6" to 8" while the large size is 5/8" wide and adjusts from 8" to 10" in length. The hardware can be either chrome plated over brass or stainless. $11.75
Amish Crafted
Nylon Pony Headstall
These Amish handcrafted headstalls come with matching 7' long split reins. The reins are single-ply nylon while the the headstall is double-ply. Both the reins and the headstall are made of 3/4" nylon that is double-stitched and box-tacked for strength. The brow band is 3/4" matching nylon. The hardware is nickel plated and rust resistant. The bit and curb/chin strap are sold separately. These headstalls are soft and flexible while being strong, should they become stiff and dirty they can be cleaned by soaking in water and scrubbing with a brush. $32.00
