Leather Standard Donkey Headstall and Reins
These headstalls are Amish made and handcrafted from top-quality skirting leather. They are double-ply and double-stitched for strength and durability. The brow band and the cheek straps are 3/4" in width, while the throat latch strap is single-ply and 5/8" in width. All of the edges are finished and painted for a professional look and a tough coat is applied for added protection. The hardware in these headstalls is made of chrome over brass which adds looks and durability. These headstalls have a Conway Buckle for attaching the bit to the headstall and a Chicago Screw is used to fasten the brow band around the cheek and throat latch straps. They have an adjustment on both cheek straps so you get the correct fit with the bit. If wanted a Rosette or Leather Lace Tie could be used instead of the Chicago Screw and a Water Loop with a Leather Lace Tie could be used in place of the Conway Buckle. These headstalls can be either tooled on the brow band and the cheek straps or they can be left plain. All of the leather, in these headstalls, is hand cut a piece at a time and the tooling is done completely by hand. These headstalls DO NOT include a bit or curb/chin strap. The bit and curb/chin strap must be purchased separately. Matching reins are included with these headstalls. The reins are 5/8" wide and 7' long and are single-ply with painted and finished edges. The reins are a split rein type with a Conway buckle for hooking them to the bit, but if you prefer you can get a Water Loop with a Leather Lace Tie end. $74.99

Biothane is a durable strap good created by
coating a nylon strap of many widths with urethane. It won't absorb
sweat and is easy to clean by just hosing it off. It keeps its
flexibility even in subzero temperatures.
Beta Biothane has a leather look and feel. Very easy to clean also and a
bit more flexible than regular biothane. Since it has a softer coating
it isn't as scratch and wear resistant as regular biothane.
These headstalls are handcrafted by local Amish men and made to fit your donkey. These headstalls have a 3/4" brow band, 3/4" cheek straps and a 5/8" throat latch strap. You can get these headstalls in either Beta, a dull finished Biothane or a shiny finished Biothane. The hardware, in these headstalls, comes chrome plated over brass or you can get stainless hardware instead. The brow band is attached around the cheek strap and the throat latch strap with a Chicago Screw. The cheek straps have an adjustment on both sides so you can get the proper fit with the bit. A Conway Buckle is used to fasten the cheek straps to the bit. A bit and curb strap are NOT included with this headstall, you must purchase them separately. A pair of split reins IS included with the purchase of this headstall. The reins are made of Beta and are 3/4" wide and 7' long with a chrome plated over brass Conway Buckle to attach them to the bit.

Biothane & Beta Headstall Curb/Chin Strap
These curb straps come in either Beta, Biothane Shiny or Biothane
Dull. All of these curb straps are Amish made to the highest standards of
quality. These curbs come in two sizes, small and large. The small size is 1/2"
wide and adjusts from 6" to 8" while the large size is 5/8" wide and adjusts
from 8" to 10" in length. The hardware can be either chrome plated over brass or
stainless. $11.75
Headstall Curb / Chin Strap: Optional curb straps are made of 3/4" double-ply
nylon webbing. They are cut and sewn with double-stitching and
box-tacked ends by local Amish women. The buckle is made of nickel plated steel with round and
smooth edges. You can purchase these curb straps in either a small size
or a large size to fit your animals chin size. The small size adjusts
from 6" to 8" and the large size adjusts from 8" to 10".
These Amish handcrafted headstalls are durable and easy to care for. They are made of 3/4" nylon webbing and are 2-ply, double-stitched and box-tacked for strength. These bridles have a 3/4" brow band and matching reins. Reins are 7' long split reins, single-ply, double-stitched and box-tacked. Bit and curb/chin strap sold separately. All hardware is nickel plated and rust resistant. These headstalls are soft and flexible while at the same time strong and durable. You can easily clean these headstalls by soaking them in some water with oil soap and scrubbing with a stiff brush
